It would be nice if he was working on all of these things in some sort of devoted solitude. I think its extremely strange that he's disappeared all together.
As for the job thing, he's been a mechanic for a while.
As for the "girl" thing, he's been married at least 10 years.
I remember him being gone for small periods of time to help his wife's parents who were out of state.
Maybe something major happened there and he didn't bother to go wifi hand held?
I wish I knew someone that knew John on a local level, so I could question them. ^_^
