Interesting article. While third person games allow for better resolution, better visibility of character and customisation, i think they lack prescise control of attacking, blocking etc. I also think that KF games are more intuitive and easier to handle.
From's artwork in kf / souls is probably my favourite out of most major game developers. The style resembles customised and imaginative versions of medieval myths, assets, buildings etc. They remain undoubtedly grotesque in many cases but beautifully creative.
I really wouldnt be surprised if From team members popped by here now and then.
