Want to give away a few things ...

So, I've got a few items some of you might be interested in. I thought I'd give it away for free, though hopefully with help to cover the shipping from Norway. (Would've paid for the shipping costs too, if I hadn't been broke. :p )

The items are as follows:
- Eternal Ring (Japanese release, PS2)
- Shadow Tower (Japanese release, PS1)
- CD jewel case sized strategy guide for Shadow Tower (Japanese)
- Promotional disc for Armoured Core 2, Evergrace, and Eternal Ring in slipcase (Japanese, PS2)

All of these items are in great condition, and I would love for them to go to another collector, and especially a fan of From Software. :)

I could be a good bet given that I live where your people settled, people from Telemark / Haldanger. Better than Saxons surely.

So if you can ship them to me :) like boat travel only takes a few days right? ‎  Biggrin

That's really very nice of you Guyra!

On a related note, since you are a Playstation collector, do you know of any good PS1 or 2 games that were only released in Europe and didn't make it to the US? I know Technomage was one such game, but I imagine there were others.

Technomage, I loved that game when I was younger! I made sure to make it a part of my collection a couple of years ago, when I remembered it! :D

As for other noteworthy PAL region exclusives for the PS1 and PS2 ... I don't think I've played that many exclusives myself, but some that I know are PAL only on the PS1 and PS2, and that I find interesting, I have listed below. Keep in mind that my tastes in games is not exactly mainstream. :p

Atlantis: The Lost Continent (Point & click adventure)
Atlantis: The Lost Tales (Point & click adventure)
Discworld Noir (Point & click adventure)

PS2

Thanks for the list! That's something I've been wondering about for years but never had the opportunity to ask. I can't believe you guys got a sequel to Siren and Discword that we didn't!

I actually like point and click games just fine- I still have fond memories of running around in the original Broken Sword asking everyone "Can you identify the substance on this tissue", and the French man's reply: "You are a sick, sick man, monsieur!" Ha

I added links to the games' gameFAQ pages if anyone wants to check them out ‎  beerchug ‎

Haha, yes! It's actually not that long ago that I played through the first three Broken Sword games. They're great! The first one is without a doubt the best, and the second one is great as well. The third one(The Sleeping Dragon) has got some slightly awkward and out of place gameplay elements, but delivers a great story - in my opinion, the second best story of the three. I have yet to play the fourth, but I will. And a fifth game is currently in production, that one going back to being a true pointy clicky game. :D

As for Forbidden Siren, I tried playing that once back in the day. Couldn't handle the controls, so I eventually put it away and didn't bother with it again. But being a survival horror fan, I have plans to pick it up again and try getting through it. Because it really seems like a great game! And I've heard good things about the sequel, as well. ;) And I have several copies of the first game laying about, hehe!

Of course, there are a lot more European exclusive games for the PS1 and PS2, but these are the ones I think look interesting. If you're browsing Europe/PAL exclusive PS1 and PS2 games though, keep a lookout for this logo, usually on the front of the cover. If you see it, avoid it like the plague! :p

I have a copy of Baldies which I think was a Phoenix tittle, and yeah... it was baaaad. When Sony discontinued the quality review process near the end of the PS1's life, a lot of crummy games got released.

Guyra, since you collect PS1, do you have any interest in collecting the Lightspan games? ‎  I was doing some research into the Lightspan releases a few years back and have quite a few duplicates. I would send you some if they interest you.
