Heh, I'm just a musician, much less a game maker and even much less a story teller.
Most of my creation of Diadem of Maunstraut and Trismegistus were spontaneous. It was a collection of 'This sounds good's added together.
The point is, when I had fun, it bore fruit. If it involved something I didn't like, I didn't do it. What you see in the games, is what I like. DoM took 2 months and Trismegistus took 4. Eh, but not everyone can follow through with this sort of thing, nor could everyone find this sort of thing fun.
I have a GREAT idea for a 3rd game, and have a bit of a map built - but I'm waiting, more or less, for some systematic improvements.
I really don't want to make another game with the same items, same objects, same enemies, same NPCs, same map pieces. Between both games, I've used everything at least once.
