Groovy event recipes...

#11
Well copying extremely heady global events to all maps is a must for me. So I'm working on methods. At the moment I'm confident I won't have to manually program the same event more than once Wink

PS: I actually wonder what would happen if you opened the Event Window, hit the Copy button, change maps, then hit the Paste button. This works for map pieces. I'll have to try that just to know I suppose...

^Even though it's still way too much work for my purposes, even if it works Twisted

I am pretty certain it doesnt work.

You are in a unique situation though, had you started a new project rather than modify DoM, you could have just put all your events on the first map and copied the whole event tree.

It would be too much pressure to get the events right before you got started.

I wouldn't be surprised if the copy/paste works. The KF1 remake has global events like Verdite. It seems really stupid for SoM to not have a set of events that apply regardless of maps. Extra work aside, It only invites bugs due to on event being different/bad on one map... if you can't copy/paste.

This seems like something along the lines of Diablo 2 with the Horadric Cube or Resident Evil where you can "combine" certian items to make better ones. ‎  I'm new to this game so I'm nowhere close to having the experience on helping with any of this but hope with time to help you guys work on implimenting new stuff into the game. ‎  I think this could definatly improve the game greatly.

I love old school games (I have most of the ROM's for the Nintendo on my computer). ‎  I hope you guys don't mind me picking your brains while I deleop my game. ‎  Hopefully overtime I can help you guys out.
