Hook, Line and Sinker!!!!

HA! ‎  John! ‎  Bootlegs are a lot better production than they used to be! ‎  ^_^

Thanks Todd! ‎  I'm pretty excited about this!

Actually, I think I told John, maybe Todd, but I can't remember if I told anyone else. ‎  I asked Eric what he thought of a sophomore Hguols album (since I have enough material for another full length) and Eric said he was a fan of my work, and he'd love to release another album! ‎  ^_^

Speaking of which, the other material, most of which I was going to redo some of the Maunstraut music Hguols style. ‎  I've got the tabs, notes, etc. for most of the Maunstraut songs (I think Death of the Soulless is the only one I don't have) and those full lengths, coupled with a few other songs and collaborated riffs, will be the raw materials for the 2nd album.

Naturally, they'll take quite a revamping, much like comparing the tracks I gave to Todd for DD, and the same songs that made it to this Hguols album.

Well, there are a couple reviews up of the "Epitome" album on the hguols.com site.

Two different reviews from two different blogs. ‎  What they had to say was great! ‎  I agree with (almost) everything they said....

I don't quite agree with the final score, but its nice to know the only REAL complaint had to do with me using artificial (MIDI) instruments. ‎  I was informed that a 6/10 and a 7/10 were "good" for a debut album, but I keep reflecting on a percentage scale for school. ‎  (which would be "poor" and "average")

....but that's the egomaniacal side of me as well. ‎  I thought they should both give me 8/10s and e-mail me on a regular basis telling me how awesome I am. ‎  Bees

....cest la vie. ‎

Ya dont go on a 'school' scale. ‎  The average score is probably 6, but mid range scores in my opinion are never handed out. ‎  Most people give out greats (8-10) or really bad (3-4). ‎  The fact that your landed on the higher end i think is pretty damn good Tom....surely this is enough of an inspiration to keep going on another album.

I'm a little surprised. ‎  A writer at heavymetal.about.com agreed to review my album.

Either way, this could be an ego trip for me. ‎  #_#'

Well, Eric got a hold of me today. ‎  He mentioned he still has the same "technical difficulties" and humbly apologized for the delay.

Unless I hear different from him, it will probably be within the first half of January that the CD will come out.

I'll keep everyone posted.

I like the label's description of the Hguols CD.

Hguols - Epitome

A bombastic and truly epic display of black metal majestic. Symphonic and beautiful black metal is presented on a massively grand scale. Soaring and monumental, this is an album not to be missed for fans of grandiose beauty. Contains the sole member from the legendary unblack metal band Grim.

Cool, eh? ‎  ^_^

Ok, so that EEE label ripped me off.

I'm on a new one called Barren Meadows and they're great! ‎
(and releasing my Epitome CD soon)

I'm working on new music. ‎  New CD out in September.

Blah blah blah. ‎  Only Todd will read this.
Hi Todd.
