A question about Shadow Tower Abyss's ending(SPOILERS!!!!)

#1
*I CAN USE SOME SPOILERS FOR MY QUESTION. BE AWARE!"
Thanx to our hero Weissvulf again and again, i could finally played thru STA. And it was extremely good. anyways, here is my question. Right after the Dense Fog area, i kicked beat Auriel/Rurufon on the bridge area and take her ring. After that i cleaned two more areas and went to the final area. A demon Auriel/Rurufon was waiting for me. I slayed her again, and right after that i sliced the talking blob and boom! our hero was at the outside of tree and somegirl was looking at her from the behind of a tree. That's all.
What i will ask is, is that the only ending? Or did get a "bad ending" for killing Auriel/Rurufon? Is that so how can i get the other ending? Do not be afraid of using spoilers
But if you say that's the only ending, i have to say that this one was the easieast finall boss of my entire gaming life and that 10 seconds of ending was one of the worst endings i have ever seen. KF4's final battle was terrible also but the ending was good at least.
And there is a pendant in my inventory that i couldn't find any place to use it. What is it for?
Thanx for help!

*** POTENTIAL SPOILER ***

Hey, glad you liked it! ‎  I got the same ending, and I didn't kill the good/light/whatever Rurufon. ‎  I don't remember seeing any different dialogue when I was translating, either... ‎

I agree that the ending wasn't satisfying, but I told myself it was OK because they kind of want you to play through again. ‎  You get to keep all your inventory, after all. ‎  It was still great for a new twist on the KF-style gameplay and some killer atmosphere, especially in the beginning.

so it seems like it's the only ending in the game cuz you have the same ending even though you didn't kill her ‎  Doh ‎  i thought that maybe i got the bad ending cuz i killed her.
what's the extra about "New Game+"? Monsters are harder?

I believe the monsters are exactly the same in the second runthrough, which means that if you're using your powerful weapons from last time, you one-hit kill everything for the first couple levels. ‎  They may do more damage this time around, though, as I was surprisingly wiped out quickly by a some lucky shots from one of the Guardians. ‎  The main difference I noticed is that they give you find new equipment (in new places) that wasn't there the first time around. ‎  Some examples are the missing pieces of red/blue-corded samurai armor. ‎

I kind of liked it with the monsters the same way - I could focus on searching for the hidden areas I missed the first time through.

Was the spear taking the form of the girl? Hence the thing with the creepy eye at the end. I dunno man. ‎  Confused

I did manage to collect all the samurai armor, and if you equip it all at once you get a bonus to every stat, aside from what the pieces give you. Don't know what use it has after you've already beaten the game and probably gotten better armor though...

That could actually make sense. The story was definitely told in a minimalistic way and I'll bet the manual has the backstory that explains a lot. ‎  The general idea seems to be that something evil escaped with the player. ‎  I suspect the official US release which was canceled would have told the story in a more fleshed out way.

I didn't know that about the armor- cool!

It's pretty unreal how much stuff there is to pick up in this game... But what's missing for me is the implications of why all that stuff is there, like in King's Field IV, Dark Souls etc. where most things you find have a conceivable origin.
