^Actually I think STAGE would be more appropriate than PAGE/STATE... it's a word I invented by combining state+page (sounded better than PATE anyway)

Interesting.
I have had an issue where the music will just plain stop and never start over, but I cant recall any where the music stops randomly (like mid song) and other times plays fine. Are you using .mid or .wav tracks?

If the site ever does go down temporarily, you should join this MSN Live group if you want info (https://cid-00091c81416aadca.groups.live.com/)
I've never had this sort of a prob with music (unless you have an event that is turning off the bgm) however the sound fxs not always coming thru is a very serious problem I'd like to fix sometime. If everyone is experiencing this I will give it top priority as soon as I get around to profiling SOM's interactions with Direct Sound. Hopefully that's something that can be fixed. If not it will really damper the lifespan of SOM I think.

Well asus, if your .wav is finishing but not restarting, I would open the file with sound recorder and resave it as another file.
There are two things that I know of that can cause the issue. If for whatever reason the last bit of the file is corrupted it could cause the problem, so even shaving a fraction of a second off the file might help, but definately try just resaving it to a new file. The other reason I have seen this happen is the name of the file. Try shortening it if its a long name or take out any non alphanumberic characters from the name of the file, such as dashes or apostrophes etc. See if either of those things help and keep me posted.
