That's one of the bad things... ‎  you can't technically save your progress. ‎  (since the browser is the console)

If you're wanting to beat the game, I would recommend getting familiar with each area / locating each area's boss. ‎  After that, you should be able to assassin each of the bosses and beat the game in a matter of minutes.

Of course, there is a secret way to get to the last boss very quickly...
