tHE ONLY PROBLEM FOR ME IS THE ALWASE RESETTING OF BUTTON 7 (LOOK UP) AND 8 (LOOK DOWN) IT'S A REAL PAIN IN THE ARS

That sounds like the exact same problem I always have. I don't think there is a known fix (other than my extension)
