Pushing back release date a bit - dmpdesign - 2009-05-12 Due to me wanting to work out the bugs in the map set that I released earlier, along with adding CG in game videos, I am pushing back the release by a few weeks, so likely I wont be sending out a testable version of the game until late June. I will still try to get the final game done by the end of July. Re: Pushing back release date a bit - johnnypark66 - 2009-08-24 It's almost september... hows the game coming along? Re: Pushing back release date a bit - Holy_Diver - 2009-08-24 All indications are it's going fine. Don't worry. Genius takes time Re: Pushing back release date a bit - dmpdesign - 2009-08-24 Yes, it is taking me far too long, but I promise it is close. Currently on the list of things to finish: - modifying some of the later area monsters and gear stats - adding two more CG cut scenes for special weapons. - finishing the ending and opening sequences. - finishing some in-game artwork and pack in artwork. - finishing the collector's library map in the game (this is a tough one) If i can get some real time into it, I would say the above is about 40 hours of effort and I should be done. Re: Pushing back release date a bit - Holy_Diver - 2009-08-25 Better man than I... I haven't gotten anything productive done in days Re: Pushing back release date a bit - dmpdesign - 2009-08-25 Thats my main problem as of late...is getting time. I know what needs to be done, and I know pretty much how to get it there...but in any given week I am finding myself with about 3-4 hours maximum to spend on my game, which turns a 40 hour project into a 10 week wait (which is unacceptable). Once work lets up (probably next week) I am just going to sacrifice some extra sleep to get the game done and probably pull some all nighters. My graphics guy said he would have the final two weapon clips done by saturday so I am having my fingers crossed and hoping that I can have this game done a week after that. Re: Pushing back release date a bit - dmpdesign - 2009-09-08 Well my 3-day weekend where I had intended to make huge progress on my game ended being next to no progress. In-laws showed up Saturday morning and left tuesday, so needless to say I got no time on my PC. I did get some artwork done that I need to work on =/ Bleh, trying to get everything done before october! |
