Holiday plans? - dmpdesign - 2013-12-19

Its that time of year again, after Christmas when I go to visit my in-laws out of state for a week :) ‎  I have made a tradition over the past 5 years to pick a game I can put on one of my portable systems and go through it while I am there, and this year I have decided to make that game Shadow Tower. ‎  I swear that I will actually make it through the game this time, so I am loading it up tonight on my psp, familiarizing myself with the info on kings-field.neocities.org and getting psyched up to complete it...wish me luck!

Anyone else have odd holiday video game traditions?

When its snowing during the winter holidays I get the urge to play 'Worms' because that was one of the few games my first PC could play smoothly, and I just happened to get into it during winter. I dont play it though. ‎  Smile

If you liked Worms Ben, you should try Hogs of War (PS1). It's basically a 3D version of worms with a fun sense of humor. I remember a line the "coward" character sometimes said before his attack: "I shoot you, but you no shoot back. Okay?". ‎  Ninja

I usually try to avoid games around Christmas, to get more in touch with "the natural order" of things, but one year where I spent Christmas out of town with the inlaws in Los Angeles, I have to admit I spent a lot of time on the PSP. There's not a lot of 'natural order' to contemplate in Los Angeles ‎  Dazed

No games for me but a happy Christmas to you all.

John I am so sorry I didnt see your reply until now. I havent played hogs but I played commandos - behind enemy lines and loved it. I know its not the same 2d scroller... But just as hilarious.

What are you playing on the PSP John? I usually leave present wrapping until Christmas eve to get into the feel of Christmas. Then drinking follows ‎  Smile

Mainly Dungeons and Dragons Tactics, but also Macross Ace Frontier (Japanese Robotech game), Ratchet & Clank Size Matters, and a little PS1 Shadow Tower.
