Can you change the game map's icons? - Verdite - 2014-01-16
It would save me alot of time if I could simply redo the game map icons. Does anyone know how to do this? I would make a 'sketched' appearance to make the in game map useable...
BTW I found the map_icon ...

I don't think you can make the auto-map icons high resolution (without reprogramming something), but you can edit/add them. Each tile is 3x3 pixels and Map_Icon.bmp is divided into 4 quadrants. Each quarter is used for a specific map Piece rotation direction. The first 3x3 pixels are icon0 the second icon1 and so on. There are a lot of blank spaces in Map_Icon.bmp which can be filled with new icons, but the tiny size is quite limiting.
