Shadow Tower (PS1) Demo

#1
An interesting bit of Fromsoft history: I found a hidden demo for Shadow Tower on disk 1 of "Playstation Underground Vol2 Issue4" which was issued before the US release of the game. It's in the "import" section and includes some gameplay from the opening area.

Cool!

Hey I remember that! ‎  I subbed to that cd'/magazine and was sorely disappointed in it :(

I never got the Official Playstation Magazine. Too busy saving my money for games! I did get the free general gaming magazine that came with Gamestop membership. I never found it that interesting other than keeping up on the new releases. Plus, it gave KF4 a low rating!

That just made my day.

Thanks for posting this John. MT and I should have had an ST SoM demo out by now; the content I put together was enough for 2 full maps. I know MT is busy with his project, and I am busy with mine, when I finish my game I may well just output a demo. Don't want people losing interest afterall ‎  Badteeth

I always wanted to see how a King's Field playable demo would look like and you are showing us a Shadow Tower. Awesome! What a irony!

Back in the day, there was a demo which was only released in Japan for King's Field 3 which was called "King's Field Pilot Style"

Maybe Weissvulf translates this for us also, that would be awesome! ‎  Smile

Here is analysis of the demo by me from page: https://ktn87kingsfield.webs.com/otherki...dgames.htm ‎  You can find it at the bottom of the page

That demo was the reason why I bought Shadow Tower. (Not to mention, it was advertised as "From the makers of King's Field)

When I bought the game at Babbages, two store employees actually made fun of me for buying the game.
