This is a great find, and recent too!

Im really intrigued, especially by this picture:

https://vdagawa.sakura.ne.jp/sblo_files/...LC0612.jpg

Note...if those are map pieces, this guy has figured out how to make the floor semi transparent...maybe they are simply objects...but worth looking into.

Obviously the guy has spent a great deal of time texturing his map pieces..they look great.

He mentions the game will be similar in play style to echo night, so I am guessing puzzle solving, npc interaction only and no real fighting.

Looks good. While this isnt my personal preference of setting, i get a feel for the author's work by seeing that vid.

The moving object looks great. How is it possible to have such a smooth transition when moving an object?

Also looks like the author has applied this idea to the opening doors too.

By the speed of the 'animation' Im going to bet the moving doors is simply two objects that move with an event and not an animated model.

As for the space ship flying across the sky, thats really quite easy...remember the water crystal in DD falling off the pedastal and floating down the stream? ‎  Same concept, just a slow moving object.

Its funny, I sent the guy a message and he thanked the folks at SOM for their tutorials and posts etc that apparently have helped him learn the ins and outs of how to do stuff with SOM.

I wish he would post =(

We are gaijin and he nihonjin. There is no seperation, but maybe he feels we would not accept him.

I hope he does come here with humour and honesty, to join in and share ideas with us. It is important for any game development.

If that is not the case i wish him the best with his game, but to not participate would be a tradgedy.

Yes, he seemed to speak English well, but he might have been using a translating service.

Have to say though, hes got the right idea for working with SoM, especially with the idea of space - it only needs one sky map.

I agree. ‎  Really cool.

I'm still confused and still don't have the foggiest idea how to do custom models.

Speaking of people from Japan here....

Where's "coffee"? ‎  I haven't seen him in a while...
