greetings/bug questions -Eric

Yo guys, I'm new here after obtaining sword of moonlight maker, im familiar with most game editors and this editor seems to be a cake walk after learning it through making a noob game.

i was stumped as how to use support magic so i just made a release energy magic for 0 mp that is equipped at start of game with a recharge speed of 10 and i got the game exp set to soldier with an explanation centered around how to use magic. (this was after i read about support magic bug here on the forums) anyways, just wanted to thank you all for that

also, i wanted to ask

HOW IN THE BLUE @#$! do i get it so that it only takes one press of the button to confirm picking up an object? cuz hell, it takes pressing it like 10 times at some points and others it might only take 1 or 2, seriously annoying but thankfully not game crippling

and lastly, does anyone know the game's exact damage and defense formulas for weapons armors characters and enemies? or how to edit them?

p.s. why don't all the sound effects always play when they're supposed to?? :s

great editor for a noob like me, just some minor annoyances

Bugs aside, SoM is a great game making tool. As for the damage formulas HwitVlf made this: https://www.swordofmoonlight.com/bbs/ind...opic=493.0
Yeah, I'm still around. I haven't much to say anymore however I do lurk around here. Ninja

I'll go to the library and download the program then, they have 700kbps as opposed to my 56k

Thanks for the support guys, You have a nice forum here by the way and I am making a game, I'll give you a little tidbit

Youre trapped in a dream realm

you have to collect waking energy shards of the orb and make it whole again to wake up.

youre in the dream realm as revenge by a guy who went to learn dream magic at an academy after you slaughter his village! O_o

you go around slaying the bosses and using the energy shards to make good things happen for you in your dream and when you use them they appear in a room at the end of the game and when you enter they become whole and you fight the last boss.. thats the gist of it, but ill have some story line put in as well, im more heavy on game play and programming and visuals, im not much of a writer heh

Currently there is roughly 20-35 minutes of gameplay, depending on if you know what youre doing

Sounds interesting... Im guessing that you'l be singling out some of the Enemy models as bosses? Dont forget that you can edit skins for NPCs and enemies, with wolfs PRF editor you can convert to bmp then after editing, reconvert to txr, and put the file in the texture folder of either. You can specify the external texture in wolfs PRF editor too, ill give you the link.

Thanks for all the links heh, I'm not good at modding though.. I will stick with the regular stuff for now, maybe I'll do some of that stuff in the future and just sit down and learn it.

Actually I think I've got all those tools in a bundle I got.

Im really glad to see another project taking bloom. ‎  Its been a while :)

Looking forward to seeing your work. ‎  If you do happen to pop over to \<span> site blocked, contact your administrator and get a response from the admin there, please mention to him that his section of the forum here is out of date and he is welcome to come back to maintain the SomEx portion of the forum if he would like.

I would do it myself, but he doesn't respond to me these days ;)

im not certain he is still into it. ‎  the guy literally lived somex night and day for about a year but i havent heard from him since.

however, all things considered, i do recall he lives in a pretty remote area on a ranch and often had trouble getting a decent net connection, its possible he hasnt been online in a few days...give him time.
