Anyone still playing?

I got a question for you. ‎  I had purchased the asian release and had a reletively high level character save on it before selling it.

If I rebuy it for the american release...will my save game work or do I have to start from scratch?

I am definitely contemplating picking this one back up after the holidays and i get some extra cash.
