There are libraries for processing music. It's not as if people that score music for games have a clue how the games actually go about playing the music. I can program 3D graphics, it's all math, but that would not imply I'm the least bit capable as a 3D modeler (even though I happen to be)
99% of the time the people that do the art know nothing about the code that processes it and vice versa.
EDITED: Most musicians (in the west) are Christians. Christian music though is something different altogether, it's political basically. I can see how in black metal you might want to distance yourself from "practicing" pseudo-satanists or whatever, however calling yourself Christian I don't think is the route most people would take or want to take unless there was some ideology at work (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unblack_metal leave no stone unturned)
Btw, I'm just genuinely curious. I really don't understand Black Metal, it's hard to get into anyway, because I think your DNA must possess a unique gene that renders you immune to headaches. Other than the demonic throat singing and Tommy gun "riffs" in theory the scene doesn't seem antithetical to Christianity at all... maybe antithetical to Jesus. But since when has that ever stopped Christians... but yeah nothing wrong with throat sing Jesus Loves You with a vibrator fastened to your guitar
