HAHA that happened to my (deceased) friend who i played ocarina through with. I know exactly where you mean and i dont think it finished him off, but it was close :)

Ocarina is a special game to me and my mates. The kind you grow up with.

Oh, the cutout for the tree well, theres no trouble there. The tree occupies just over a square, and so far ive had no trouble with anything over that. Btw i dont think SoM ‎  cuts back for high objects or map pieces.
