Noob wanting to make a game

a bit off topic (and very late asking...) but could you explain this a bit more? I've got a lot of items that require long events and this would save me much time, and may also save me from fixing a few bugs later.

This is mostly useful for 'always on' events like a healing flask setup etc. To set it up, just pick a map slot that you won't be using in your game (pick map > edit) and place a 'Event Dummy' Object on it. Try to think of any 'universal' events you'll want to have in your game like 'Dragon Crystal save from death', refillable healing flasks etc. and set their events up attached to the Dummy or in the 'SYS PLAYER DEATH' etc events. When you are ready to build a game map, copy and paste the 'events template map' and build on the copy (Map editor > pick map > copy > paste). The copy/paste function copies all the events so you won't have to add them manually to each map.

If you've already started building a playable map and added 'universal events' to it, you can create a template 'universal even map' by making a copy of the existing map in an unused slot, and deleting everything on it except what the 'universal events' are attached to. ‎  ‎  ‎  ‎ 

This Copy/Paste ability is also useful for making night/day similar maps. build the 'day time' map, copy it and tweak the events/lighting to make it night. A lot easier than building from scratch. :) ‎
