This new swing arm does not support SoM's original weapons or hand armor.
However, it will support new weapons/hand armor that are aligned specifically for the new arm.
As far as "how you did it", making a new arm works just like making a normal animated model, except it has some strict requirements for bone arrangement. The bones on the sample arm (attached earlier) are a pretty good example of how to set up bones for a new arm.
Ben, that's a nice skeleton! It almost looks like you were copying human anatomy (shoulder blades etc). If you send me your double-arm model, I'll see if I can figure anything out when I have time. I'm focusing on the STA project for now so it may be awhile.
