Hey, glad you liked it! I got the same ending, and I didn't kill the good/light/whatever Rurufon. I don't remember seeing any different dialogue when I was translating, either...
I agree that the ending wasn't satisfying, but I told myself it was OK because they kind of want you to play through again. You get to keep all your inventory, after all. It was still great for a new twist on the KF-style gameplay and some killer atmosphere, especially in the beginning.
