Was the spear taking the form of the girl? Hence the thing with the creepy eye at the end. I dunno man. 
I did manage to collect all the samurai armor, and if you equip it all at once you get a bonus to every stat, aside from what the pieces give you. Don't know what use it has after you've already beaten the game and probably gotten better armor though...
