Really any avi will work, the codec i used way back when was to get really small files, but it was incompatible with windows 7+ so I wouldnt recommend it.
I recompiled my videos into a new avi format that is much better, a bit larger but will play with any version of windows.
If you can compile the videos into any format (whatever is easiest for you) I would be happy to convert them using Adobe Premiere, its a really great software for that, and I can add in a bunch of effects with it if necessary.
