In the FAQ section on copyright.gov
"I?ve heard about a ?poor man?s copyright.? What is it?
The practice of sending a copy of your own work to yourself is sometimes called a ?poor man?s copyright.? There is no provision in the copyright law regarding any such type of protection, and it is not a substitute for registration. "
Believe me, I thought of that one too. Looks like I'm beat - no more cutting corners. Its time to face the music.
I really wouldn't think anyone would waste their time to steal my work, but better safe than sorry. This to me is project insurance.
...and insurance is always high. >_<
