It won't really affect me that much. To me, a great experience when playing the game isn't just about the "story" in itself but more so on the fact that you get to "experience" the game while you're playing it. Reading the script would be different as to actually playing the game and boy would I ever want to contribute as much as I can. If only I'm good at hacking the game and stuff then I would've offered too
This game is huge and I know it can be tiring. So I'll be glad to lend my assistance to you by proofreading and whatnot 
Once the full translation patch is done, then it will be worth it :D
