I may very well fail also - but I spent a few hours last night dabbling with a weather system and dynamic lighting. ‎  I made a quick clip of an area I was toying with making at some point, character controls are pretty rough, but it does show the dynamic shadows and weather system that will be in the game at some point.

Note...the vid is shot in 3rd person to show the affect of movement with shadows...the game itself will be in first person (maybe I will allow camera toggle, I am not sure). ‎  In either event, if multiplayer becomes a possibility the avatar will need to be handled anyhow.
