Funny King's Field 1 picture

I decided to play thru entire series again after finding the PAL version of KF4. During playing the very first KF, i saw this and thought that it was very funny. I never thought they would be this lazy to not to create lower part of his body just because he is behind a counter. Poor guy :)

Ha, yeah I saw the "Light" merchant was the same way when I used my "see-through" walls patch. Since KF was a release title for the PS1, ‎  I expect they were just trying to save resources because they weren't sure about the console's limitations.

Hah, that is funny! xD

But yes, as John said, this has probably been done to lessen the number of polygons on screen in this area. Remember, this game was one of the very first 3D game releases on a gaming console(someone correct me if I'm wrong), meaning they had not much experience with either 3D game programming or the PlayStation hardware, and therefore had to save frame rate where they could by doing things such as this. ;)
