King's Field III -Pilot Style-. What we got here?

#1
It seems like the only KF or Kf-ish game we didn't play is: King's Field III -Pilot Style-. So any one got it? If someone got it, please share with us. Maybe weissvulf can make us a translation patch for it! It would be more than awesome if we could play thru it!

Oh god! I played thru it! It just took about one hour to beat but it was great. It has a complete different small side story than KF3. I realized that how much i missed old-good KF games. For one hour, i was the happiest guy on the earth!

The game just 3 areas: Forest, a small cave and place like a small castle. The game ends when you beat the boss and take Sword of Moonlight from the chest. But in gameplay wise, it totally same with KF3. Only differences i saw is:
* We move a little faster than KF3, especially during running
* There was no hidden doors-traps-rooms (Or i couldn't find)
* Bad Status effects wears of very quickly
* No save point. You have to play thru it at one stand

I will write a review about it on my KF-site also. But i have some questions.

1) Weisvulff, can you make a translation patch for us to play it please? There are not much text to translate, cuz only 3 NPCs to talk and just 2 cinematics. I think you can do it very quickly
2) Inside of the castle, there was another green chest that i couldn't unlock. What's in there?
3) The game is a free demo. So would it be againist the laws if a share the iso file on my site?
4) Do you allow me to share it here? If you do, than i can give the link here also :)
5) Weisvulff, please translate this game! :D

I just booted it up and tried out for a couple of minutes, and it seems like real fun! :D

I would love to be able to play this little gem in English, so a translation would be great! I would gladly help in any way I can with this translation, but I guess all I could possibly do would be proof reading. :P

Ha, I surprised a post popped up about this right now. I've been working on translating this for about 6 months and just finished about a week ago, but I found out my translated movies freeze on an actual PS1 console. I'm looking into the playstation STR movie format to figure out why the console doesn't like the new ones.

Since the game is just short, I was originally going to do an easy but crummy looking wide/abbreviated translation but I couldn't do that to a piece of KF history so I did a decent job. It was almost as much work as a full game because I had to create a half width font and a "loader" system to load the long English words into the tiny spaces where the Japanese text was. Also, all the KF games after KFJ had tamper protection checksums on all the dialog text. If they are changed at all the game freezes. I had to figure out that system to make the new text work.

The current version plays on emulators and the PSP so I can just release it as-is if I can't figure out the movie problem.

Hah! Man, that is awesome! :D

I hope you figure out the problem with the video. Personally I'd prefer playing it on a console, but I can make do with emulator. ;)

You really translated it? THANK GOD! It's short but a sweet masterpiece. It's so strange that those STR files freezes on real console. Do you think you will solve it? I'm sure you can. I played the original on my ps2 and want to play it again with your translation on ps2 again. Please tell us whenever you are finished :)

Translation is done (crossed fingers). Knighteen, are you sure only 8 copies of Pilot Style were handed out? I thought I read in a magazine that some copies were going to be given away to readers, and developers like From usually hand out a decent number of promo disks at game shows to advertise.
