Music creation for SoM games

Does anyone know of any decent free and easy to use software that i can dl to create some interesting music for my games? I've already got alot of music lined up, but some of it doesnt fit entirely... I loved the old KF music, pretty much all of it was great (except some which was almost too dark.)

I'd like to mess with synth, keyboard keys and some ambient sounds.

I have made a good bit of music for my game (seaguard) myself. Dmp has heard some of my music. If I can ill ask dmp to host or post some of it or he could just put my most recent demo there for others to hear it that way. anyway, you all could try fruityloops. It is fairly uncomplicated and with the extra packs it has just about anything you need. I did do a kinda copy of the music from T.a.c. The graveyard one i think. I could also do some stuff for others if needed. just let me know.
