Noob wanting to make a game

What I've kinda had in mind was a short sword made from 1 large crystal. I'm thinkin mabey amethyst or perhaps quartz. Well, I'll find a few textures and see what I can do.

oh, and a cream pie spell would be so funny. I wonder who would win? A guy swinging a frozen fish or the guy casting pie spells, lol

Yeah, that site is really nice, I recolored a few ice textures for the sword above. I also made a spear version, and I must say it looks really good. I've never liked polearms too much but I like this spear, lol. I'll post it later after I work on it a bit more. Thanks for a spear idea too.


(oh, and the blade/handle wasn't blue when i posted it, lol!)

well its cool. ‎  my cool sword in game came out with a some what transparant guard.. tried to fix it at first but decided it looks nifty lol ‎  still unsure about the swing model lookin diff but over all i cant complain xdd.. ‎  the alpha seems to be the main transparent influence but wonder if diffuse plays a small part as well.. ‎  xd but yesh definitly keep up the good work.. ad wow this thread is growing good

ok the next game making question.. i wanna make a practise cliff area for my game but the cliff pieces that come with som dont make a lot of sense ‎  particularly the icons and especially the corner pieces.. does anyone have better icons fer those pieces or a good cliff set? ‎  ty fer all the help so far.

If I remember correctly todd made the cliffs and snow sets for KFDD. If you want a better cliff set you do have a little fun 3d model making tool on your computer, lol. Well, jokes aside, making maps parts sounds a bit more difficult. I'm sure anyone else here will have more advice on this.

one more question as well as the cliffs question.. what should i set the draw distances and the fog settings at and im not sure im seein any skys on the outside map it all looks like grey clouds.. giggles yep its a tinkering night for mee

Well Im puttin the sun glasses on ‎  ‎ i figured out how to drown in game and also if i have the right armor set assembled in the temple it allows underwater breathing.. ‎ took me several hours to figure that out but finally cracked it xd.. ‎ SoM Rules. I was finally also to make the char fall a lil before the teleport underwater... finally after several hrs of brain hemoraging over if statements lmao

And yeah ‎ i know verdite xd ‎ just taking things one step at a time.. ‎  like that bill murray movie.. ‎ baby steps make the temple. ‎ baby steps make the sword.. baby steps drown in the water.. baby steps walk on lava ‎ giggles
