Probably need to do the banner in 3D, if your speaking about the one on the main page. LogoFinal.png on www.swordofmoonlight.com. ‎  The whole thing should be
done in 3D and lit properly for it to be kick ass. ‎

Nope, I'm still stuck on the forum banner actually. If you let me makeover the main website it will look just like digitaldevildb.com, at least unless someone can come up with a custom theme. The digitaldevildb.com theme is esthetically just a minor alteration of the Kubrick theme that comes standard with Wordpress. I can easily make a new banner that looks identical, we would just need to replace the Kerberos with something...

I'm not saying it wouldn't be a step back, but at least the website would be scalable/maintainable.

I don't think the moon would be necessarily out of place in a SoM banner, moonlight and all Wink

Would just make the banner say SWORD OF MOONLIGHT yada yada instead.

PS: I like this font. I think it would be good to have something more contemporary/neutral font-wise. That way Armored Core (the other Moonlight game) content would not seem out of place on the website eventually.

Sir, have at it!

I never thought the main site looked good in the first place, I just suck at creating web tools so it is what it is.

Mayhaps you guys can work out a decent design for it...as long as functionally everything is there and easy to find, i dont care how it looks. ‎  I would prefer to keep it faithful to SOM itself as the main theme over any of the sub games like KF or AC, but certainly incorporate them if you can.

This site is pretty much way out of my hands anymore anyway (and thats a good thing). ‎  I think it is resting in far more capable and definitely more caring hands.

I honestly am glad someone wants to take it over, because other than being a forum surfer, I don't see myself making any leaps and bounds in maintaining or upgrading this site on my own.

Sure send me the photoshop file, I will take a look, I tried replicating the background crystal look. ‎  I saw a small moonlight sword bottom of page so I created a much bigger backdrop, whatever you decide I support. ‎  I can create any 3D lit models and render it, then give it back to you in 2D to use in your composite or psd.

I'm more capable perhaps, but don't get the idea I'm more caring... in fact I have a certain antipathy towards websites that really makes me unpopular. You don't want me to be the spiritual leader of a website, or it will almost definitely fade into a cesspool of disenchanted-ness. Ideally I do best if no one knows I exist... I'm just not on the average persons wavelength. And I really resent people who expect one person to bear the weight of a website on their back and be charming as all hell while they're at it.

Technically I've been the best thing that ever happened for digitaldevildb.com, but in general it almost seems no one wants to involve themselves just because they don't like my hands off attitude. I only keep the site alive out of a technical obligation to keep it on the internet for the community if they want it and in memory of the poeple who've added to it over the years. I'm a person not stirred by passions but of a sense of justice... well mostly righteousness.

Furthermore my interests here are truly self serving. And anyway, I think in the long run, if you limit the scope of the site completely to SoM you will be stunting it's growth. I think it has a lot more potential. And if all goes well over time the original SoM will start to take more of a backseat (I mean a website dedicated entirely to a circa 2000 software product alone technically can't last forever / continue to be relevant)

I think Wordpress theme we have definitely lacks charm, and would be better off replaced. I'm just not the person who is going to replace it. I brought it to the point it is because I felt it had to reach a bare minimum bar of presentability, but that's where I draw the line as far as my sense of obligation goes.

"limit the scope of the site completely to SoM"

Um, that is the whole point. ‎  Where would you want the website to go? ‎  If you are looking to turn it into something more I think youre probably in the wrong place.

I've got the best SwordOfMoonlight logo. ‎  A friend of mine made it.

By friend of mine, I mean he's small, furry and will bite. ‎  (and sucks at spelling)
