kind of a neat site if you translate it and understand it.

Seems some of our works here are being enjoyed over in Japan which is cool...not sure if anyone over there is still working on any games, but they do have a nice list of foreign SOM titles on their boards.

I woulda created an account but the security code requires kanji :)

Hello.
Thank you for visiting KF-Like-Doujin-Game-Wiki.
I am administrator of it.

I knew and watched your forum since last spring, but could not post because my English is very poor.
(I rely on machine translation to write this text.)

Dark Destiny, Diadem of Maunstraut, Trismegistus, Battle for the Inn, SeaGuard, and Wicklow, these are all excellent.
Players in Japan are delighted to your splendid works.

But they are still a small number now, because a many of the Japanese gamer cannot read English.
I hope to increase player by introducing your works to the Japanese gamer.

Thank you.

Glad to see you here Coffee! ‎  Your English, even through a translator, is better typed than several people I know!!

Unfortunately, I'm a bit burned out on SoM for the moment. ‎  I believe Todd is as well. ‎  I really wish there were additions available for SoM, for the sake of variety.

I actually started a 3rd game after Diadem of Maunstraut and Trismegistus, but it was too much of the same thing. ‎  Perhaps when there are some serious additions, I'll pick up where I left off...

Thank you Hguols.
I was surprised at your work.

Diadem of Maunstraut was elaborated very well.
The point where you set up the hurdles and hints of the movement method in step by step is very good.
Points of jump over a bridge, magic circle, movable magic circle, long jump, etc.
It was not only difficult but also kindness.

Trismegistus is very progressive and unique.
I have not cleared it yet, I would like to question you about it some time.
Sooner or later, I play it again from a new game, because long time passed since I stuck.

I wait for the time when your motivation is raised pleasantly.
And I will providing information to here about new SoM games in Japan.

Wow cool.

Glad to see you on here.

I was going to try to join your wiki, but the security required to sign up was all in japanese and unfortunately I couldnt figure it out.

Your english is quite fine btw.

Knowing now that some people over in japan actually want to play these games gives me a different feeling toward HolyDiver's idea of getting everything translated.

If you would like, I could try to translate my game (dark destiny) to japanese? ‎  I would simply be loading text into a translator like google translate etc and then resaving the game. ‎  Would that be good enough to help the players? ‎  I have no idea how accurate something like that is?

Anyways, thanks for signing up here, and as for the japanese games you have on your wiki, there is definitely some talent there as well!

Thank you very much for your welcomed me, DMPDesign.

Passionate KF players in Japan are delighted to playing Dark Destiny.
They understood soon the work is your hommage to KF2JP(KF1US).
There are NPCs they have same name as KF2JP, and MAPs looks alike well.

It is only a few things that I remembered, because I only played KF2JP in 1995.
But even I feel the pleasure of DD. It is made very well.
And I was glad to find NPCs of the same name as people here.

My total rate of collection is 65.59% now, but I seem stuck.
I try a search for a while, and if there is still no progress, I will question you at DD board.

By the way,
The text made with machine translation, is not enough for Japanese people to understand.
In most cases, machine translation make a broken Japanese from the difference of the grammar.
I cannot understand the text when simply read it, especially case of long sentences.

I understand the outline by using two or more machine translations.
Next, I reorganize the Japanese text for easy understanding based on the outline.
And I compare it with an English original and confirm it.

I require time for write English text very much, because I do not have an English vocabulary.
I do the machine translation and retranslation of the Japanese short sentence repeatedly.
Next, I correct and compare a text many times, and make a short English sentence at last.
My English is constituted with that repetition. Phew...

The Nekomimi's Field is fantastically made, whoever is the designer is doing an excellent job recreating the King's Field engine. ‎  It seems to play very closely to King's Field The Ancient City. ‎  Especially the falling effects etc.

I will look forward to more completed games from Japan.

I will contact HolyDiver here soon to find out more about his ideas he had with the translation projects...maybe we can find a way to help get some of your completed games converted to English and some of ours to japanese someday.
