As I said, I will come back now and then...anyway...
Everything looks so diffrent now, it looks nice too. I'm going to try and do this again, but I don't think I'll be able to get even a small, kinda "test game" finished. its always worth anoter try though....
Yeah, I'm still around. I haven't much to say anymore however I do lurk around here. Ninja

I hope you give it a shot.

Though we would all like to see your game (if you make one), it would be nice if you could finish it even if it was just for yourself.

Sorry for suddenly showing up and then disapearing. I broke my foot moving a couch and long story short: I forgot.
I'm going to try and make a "test map" to get used to things again, but I already said that. I don't have much to say anymore......... Face15

^Todd and I discussed this... I think we agreed everyone should be using VMs (virtual machines) ...in the case of XP I did have to toggle DX off the first time, but at some point not long after I'd turned it back on and Som still worked fine, and still does to this day, and the game mode is hardware accelerated.

In the case of Vista you really want a VM setup at this point (I'm not sure if I will look into fixing it otherwise or not anytime soon) ...in the case of 7 I believe it comes with an XP VM builtin (hardware accelerated or not I dunno... if not Som should not have probs) ...I do not know if you need a better than Home Professional version of 7 to benefit from that.

PS: 7 = Microsoft Windows 7. I think everyone will assist you in setting up a VM if that's what you want to do. It really should probably be a #1 mission for som.com to help people with VMs and make standard VM downloads with all the goodies builtin available.

Todd expressed concern to me about people being fed up or discouraged about flipping DirectX off and on in order to use Som. I apologize, I just saw the dx on/off bit. I actually assumed Scott had posted that one. We just want people to be comfortable using Som Sweatdrop
