Yes, I dug around a little and found others who mentioned that same game, but KFII definitely came out before it. Weird. :P

I looked through all the long box PS1 games and KF was definitely the first US PS1 RPG. It's possible that the Beyond the Beyond myth came about because it was the first PS1 RPG reviewed by IGN (KF was the second). They sort ps1 games in a way that makes it easy to misunderstand the review date as the release date.

I added the backwards sign info to the trivia page and a couple other tidbits.

Wikipedia called it the first "traditional role-playing game", which might be a source of confusion. So I clarified it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beyond_the_Beyond :)

That must have been written by a Nintendo fanboy. Some of the old D&D PC games were technically FP RPGs even though you controlled a party, and Ultima underworld was out in the early 90s- Arena and dozens of others. The only way KF could be considered "non traditional" is by comparing it to s/nes RPGs, but those system's hardware couldn't really pull of a First Person so of course they didn't have m/any.

Hehe, probably! ;) Clarified a bit more, and included in the KF2 article that it's the first RPG released for the PS1 in the west. ;)

Added picture for KF(Jap) Books release. I think it must be pretty rare since I've only seen one copy for sale. It's on yahoo auctions right now.

Added KF4Jap CRC value, scans for a cool KF advertisement, and a (PSM#9) Magazine review to the collectibles page.

Added KF4 Jap Guide, Darkside poster to memorabilia and spinecard/reg card to KF3 variants.

Since I bought another copy of KF3 Jap to get the spine card, I don't need my old KF3Jap copy anymore. It's complete except the spinecard/regcard. If anyone wants it for their collection they can have it. Let me know.

I finally checked my own KF2 The Best copy, and it's the v1.8B variant. So now I've got to get me the 1.8A one... Added it to the wiki article, btw. :)
