Hello all, first of all big shout out to Hguols for make this game. I played it back in the day and wanted to 100% it this time.
My problem is that I went across the rising platforms in the Wind Lair and teleported out of there with out grabbing the elemental symbol or unlocking the door that it leads to. The platforms are all stuck in the up position and dont seem to reset. Is there anything I can do or is this save lost to the ages?
OK!!!!!! I am seriously in need of help this time lol
I have finished the earth. fire, and wind areas and i have noticed one type of chest
that i still do not have the key for! Can anyone list the key locations?
I downloaded it from the "game download files" board but for some reason, every time I start the game, I only see the top half of the word "King" in the main menu. I can't see anything other than that, as it's all cut off. I've tried changing the resolution settings in the config file, but that produces absolutely no change.
Hello, anyone that still comes here! I suddenly got the urge to play this great classic again, and I'm almost completely through. I have done and collected just about everything possible in this game, but I'm stuck at 98.39%. I got all of the weapon trophies, all the spells, and all of the enemy trophies except for that damn last boss. I unlocked the final boss's chamber and opened it, but that still doesn't add the last boss trophy, so I'm not sure what I have to do to get full completion in the library. I also showed the Ancient Relic to Master Torix and got all of the rare drops (I think?), including the Dragon Boots. Do those boots show up anywhere in the Library? Because I don't think I've seen them.
I'm finally so very close to truly beating this game, but I'm not sure what else to do. Any help is greatly appreciated!
So after getting on and complimenting how awesome this game is i decided
to stay up all night playing it...i made my way through and got the earth and fire crystals
and went on to the wind area, after clearing the outside areas i went into the castle part
As soon as i enter there is a door for an elemental key, to the right of that is some
of those semi invisible platforms, there are 4 of them and when you get to the 4th one
is disappears and you can see more in the distance but cant reach them
If i go to the left from that up a little hallway i arrive at a sealed door and to the right of that
is some more little platforms that rise when you walk on them...HERE is where i may have broke my game
Getting very annoyed running back to the platforms that repeatedly threw me off and seemed
to bug out half the time i decided to use my ring of salvation each time i made it to the next one
once i got a few platforms in it seems as though i cannot reach anymore as if i was to come
from the other way and im trying to go backwards, so i used my fruit of healing and went back
to the fountain and ran back to the wind place, only to find out those platforms are now stuck
in the air even if i leave the area and come back...at this point i am at a loss, i have searched all
the outside area, looked for hidden doors, everything...i just cant seem to find a way further into this
place, and even if i make it further will those platforms be stuck forever now?
IDC about spoilers, can anyone tell me how i get through the wind place? I am stumped
I was a huuuuuge kings field fan back in the day. def my favorite games ever made
when i found this site i tried 1 game, dark destiny and i loved it, thought it was so cool
and for some reason i didn't try anymore games off here, who knows why lol
I just wanted to say that diadem is AMAZING! I love how it plays out
it is hard, very hard, but rewarding the more you play it, it can be very
very very very very frustrating when monsters re spawn so fast but
it gives the game that extra challenge, i love how hidden things are, i just made it inside
the fire place after finding the key and up til now im loving the game!
I really hope you guys continue to make these games because there ARE people
out there that will play them, and appreciate the work you put in to make the game.
I am going to try my best and finish the game, and hopefully there is another on here
as good as dark destiny and diadem are!
Keep up the good work!!!!!! love what you are doing!
Introduction: Heir of Granatyki is a King's Field fan game created by MasterTaffer using the Sword of Moonlight King's Field Making Tool, that takes place before the events of the first King's Field. Like all King's Field games, its gameplay centers around exploration, methodical combat, and light puzzle solving. The game is made up of only two maps, but these maps are massive in scope and highly detailed. Please offer any constructive feedback, and have fun!
Story/Setting
This game takes place before the events of the first King's Field. After the death of the great "Wind King", King Harvine, the northern continent split into three countries: Granatyki, Verdite, and Egret. After a mysterious darkness eclipses the country of Granatyki, the king of Verdite sends a detachment of knights to investigate. You play as the renowned commander of the Verdite guard, Hauser Forester, who is tasked with leading the expedition into Granatyki.

could SoM be used to make a mega man game? i just got this random idea in my head: "what if i used this to make a 1st-person mega man game?"
some different map textures, different monsters/NPC's.... weapons could still be the usual swords and whatnot but perhaps add a set of energy blades for things such as zero's Z-Saber. spells could be the various special attacks and could be unlocked by defeating boss monsters.
hmmm...to keep or not to keep the lvling system...if possible then the lvl system could be swapped and instead of lvling for mp/hp there could be items that raise such stats scattered through the world. though the rpg lvling aspect would still be nice too (maybe 2 versions, one with the items and another with the usual lvling and no stat boost items).
armor could be handled like in the X series with areas containing hidden upgrades (i wonder if it'd be possible to restrict armor use until you collect each full set...).
this could be something interesting to attempt.
oh and after downloading, looking through it, and tinkering with it some...this SoM program is actually surprisingly easy to use. i'd imagine just about anyone could use this to make their own games with ease. though the event system did and still does give me a bit of trouble figuring out.
i was thinking (on a simple test map of course) trying to make a stone pedestal (1 for each element) that, when interacted with (space bar), would teach you magic at different lvls but i can't quite figure out how to get that to work right. it'd give the first spell but after that nothing happens even if i meet the next lvl requirement i had set for it. so that part IS more complex than i first thought but it's nothing i can't figure out with time and practice.
would anyone happen to have a copy of the maps from the website? it seems a good chunk of https://www.angelfire.com/rpg2/stabyss/som/dom/main.htm has gone the way of 404. :/ so too has the enemy guide, class and lvl guides...
no, wait...i do still have the maps for this game in a folder. not the other stuff though. also still have a bunch of stuff for KF (the US one, not the original japanese game), KF2, Shadow Tower (PS1), and KF4. the maps for KF, KF2, and shadow tower are from gamefaqs i think. aside from that i have some maps for KF4 if anyone wants a copy. as well as...i think i got all this off kingsfield.com but i've also got a ton of item/gear/monster pics from KF2, KF4, and shadow tower (wow, at the amount of monsters in that game. no, seriously, 150 monsters and almost no palette swaps anywhere, if at all.).
i also have 2 pics from...i THINK king's field 2 but i'm really not sure. might be from the manual. maybe someone from around here could tell where they're from.
edit: by any chance, would anyone here happen to have some old (or new if there are any) maps for the 1st KF game (the japanese one this time)? not that i can't get through without maps mind you (endless grinding can make some rather stupid and tedious miracles happen. >.>) but they make things a lot less...tedious. that and labyrinths confound my normally great memory for games. ESPECIALLY when the walls all look the same (really could've done for more variety in the wall textures back then but whatever. what's done is LONG since done.)
