So I've been playing through Dark Souls lately, and I'm finally at the end - the battle against the game's final boss. (Will probably kill him tonight.)

And I've got to say, I love this game! I really liked Demon's Souls, but even so, Dark Souls is so much better! And there are many things that are so similar to the KF series in this game, it's almost like playing a third person KF game. First and foremost how the different areas intersect with each other really reminds me of the island of Melenat. And you've got Sen's Fortress, with all its traps and a secret/hidden prison area. The NPCs all felt more like the NPCs in the KF games, especially with them actually moving about now and then.

Then, of course, they added a white dragon called Seath. From whom you can get the Moonlight Sword. It almost feels as if From Software's screaming, "we want to make another KF game!" Hehe!

I also got a real KF4 nostalgia kick out of the music playing during the final battle - personally, I believe they must've done that on purpose - like a homage.

In so many ways, this game is so close to the KF series. Oh, how I hope they make a new KF game!

Ok Holydiver helped me set up counters for equipment tonight which is a somex exclusive.

I got the game to add 4 strength, and decrease 50 mana when 4 items are equipped as a set.

The problem is ive tried for over an hour, trying to figure out how to reset (decrease 4 strength, restore 50 mana) when the player removes a set piece, then start measuring if the player equips the four items again.

Event: Equip set
AO
Start condition= counter ex.equip.head =172 (172 is the item number in the parameter.) and its a helmet.
Then i have three weapons of choice, if you equip one item it moves the leaf forward and checks if you have the armour, and finally If>have gloves> alter the counter value of increase (counter) to 1.
Otherwise alter leaf of this event back to 0 (weapon check.)
End if


Event: Increase temp
AO
Start condition= ‎  increase=1
If= increase=1
‎  ‎  Alter counter value= increase=2
‎  ‎  change param mp decrease by 50
‎  ‎  change param str increase by 4

Biggrin Classic! Love it, matches up to the other kingsfield's gameplay and terms pretty well. I love the respawning man eater and termites in the field which allow you to grind levels for the caves, I love all the little secrets available in the start too, I found the key to surviving those skeletons with robes that do like 80 damage to you is getting the leather armor and the mace and grinding up a bit (fun!!!!)

Gripe: Okay so i have to hug the wall to the left in the cave to get to the guy to tell me there is a key in the field because there is mr zombie right there who will lunge at you and pretty much gank you in 1 hit! D: (haven't tried the def buffs yet) so I got the key got the armor and boots now I'm a baddie and I'm gonna search the cave some more (definitely not strong enough to take the two giant man eaters)

but i did dash over for the chest and got the gold :P

after that i will venture on into the unknown past the door (if it's unlocked with the key the old man gives you) hopefully i'll be able to cuz that jelly fish looks scarey! D:

Yo guys, I'm new here after obtaining sword of moonlight maker, im familiar with most game editors and this editor seems to be a cake walk after learning it through making a noob game.

i was stumped as how to use support magic so i just made a release energy magic for 0 mp that is equipped at start of game with a recharge speed of 10 and i got the game exp set to soldier with an explanation centered around how to use magic. (this was after i read about support magic bug here on the forums) anyways, just wanted to thank you all for that

also, i wanted to ask

HOW IN THE BLUE @#$! do i get it so that it only takes one press of the button to confirm picking up an object? cuz hell, it takes pressing it like 10 times at some points and others it might only take 1 or 2, seriously annoying but thankfully not game crippling

and lastly, does anyone know the game's exact damage and defense formulas for weapons armors characters and enemies? or how to edit them?

p.s. why don't all the sound effects always play when they're supposed to?? :s

great editor for a noob like me, just some minor annoyances
