Is this a thing? I couldn't find anywhere in the editor to set up the controls, and I couldn't find any topic on it here in the forums.

I own a digital copy of original Japanese 1-3, and the first shadow tower (discs of 4 and abyss are pretty expensive, so I'll wait until I've got spare cash). All of which I have on PS Vita and ps3.
What I want to know is
1) is there any way to translate these into English?
2) If not, is there any way I can get my hands on additional 1 and 2 for ps vita? If the discs are still floating around (additional 1 and 2) I could theoretically get my hands on a psp3000 sometime soon.
3) What about PC emulation? Been looking around for king's field for ages, and I can't find it for the life of me. I'd be massively grateful to anyone who has the files if they even exist. Not talking about the SOM version though, I will play it after I've played the originals.

Hello all! I've been back, lurking around the forums for about a week now.

To update, the game I was working on came to a standstill - my programmer buddy mysteriously vanished, and with him, any will I had to continue working on said project... What a bummer; hundreds of characters, and more than 50 different locations, all lovingly drawn with pixels and assembled for naught. I still have the files, but hell... My motivation to do anything with them is nil. Maybe another time...

But I digress--! I'm here about King's Field/Shadow Tower-related business, and am asking for assistance, if possible!

Lately, I've been on a real papercraft binge. Assembling buildings, props, paper miniatures, and things of the sort. So I had the idea to create some King's Field-inspired paper miniatures! I've already finished/printed a few from King's Field 2 (#1 in the U.S.), and plan on making more - and here comes my plea for help!

I need clean screen shots of as many monsters as can be assembled - all of them, from ALL of the KF games and ST, preferably; front/back shots would be ideal! As much as I love the KF series, I don't have the time to plow through them all again to get the pics, and SOM doesn't want to work on my Mac...

So, if anyone has a way of providing these screens, I can get to work in doodling up a King's Field-inspired menagerie of beasts and baddies!

I'll dig up what I've made so far and post em here, so you guys can see the first prototype!

SwordofMoonlight.com was launched in October of 2008 and this year marks the 10th anniversary of the online resource being continuously online and providing users with a place to learn, build and share their SoM experiences. ‎  Several great games have resulted from the collaborative and talented efforts of the members here and I am happy to say new members are still signing up and taking up the flame of creativity.

Though it pains me to say it, the forum does not get the use it once did and the rising cost of pro membership hosting via ipower.com over the years (originally $19.99 annually and now in excess of $250 a year) has made me question renewing the domain in 2018. ‎  As I look through the thousands of posts and archives I just can't pull the plug on the site at this time but am asking the community to contribute donations to help keep the site running for years to come.

Many may ask why all of a sudden I ask for this after hosting for 10 years...those who know me personally have heard that times have been increasingly difficult for me the past couple of years making a living as a self-employed game designer. ‎  Since 2013 I have been self-employed doing freelance work with several game studios, work which at times pays very little. ‎  These past 2 years have seen many challenges in my life monetarily, and my spending on hobbies and non-essentials has been reduced dramatically. ‎  $250 a year may not seem like much but I am at a point where every penny counts.

If you decide to donate I will find some method to honor those who have given and possibly give you some type of reward in the future.

This was my favorite campaign by far. From having to implement entirely new strategies, to having almost all the teams be active in some way (even the absolute weakest ones), to losing knights along the way and having to work around that (part of the story line), to get getting some crazy good and bad luck.. This was by far the most interesting run of them all!

Could someone explain me how to?

Made an account here to download the King's Field remake for SOM, as well as the program itself. I have no idea how to use it, but I might mess around with it for a bit. Glad to see you guys have the resources still available after all these years.

I am currently playing kf4 and realize there is sword magic in it as well. This made me think "wouldn't it be crazy if we played through 2/3 and completely missed out on sword magic?" so I googled it. I found some info on kf2 which is probably kf3(jp) but could not find anything else. I was hoping someone knew the req for sword magic in these games and would post them for me.
